Celebrate the Magic of the Season at the Christmas Villages of Cyprus

This December, Cyprus transforms into a holiday wonderland filled with lights, tradition, and heartwarming experiences. From quaint mountain villages to charming towns draped in festive cheer, the island is inviting locals and visitors alike to rediscover the joy of Christmas—the Cypriot way.

The Deputy Ministry of Tourism welcomes you to explore eight traditional Christmas Villages, each offering a unique and memorable celebration during the most magical time of the year. From November 22, 2025 to January 6, 2026, these communities will be alive with seasonal spirit, cultural events, and authentic hospitality.

Louis Hotels invites you to explore the charm of the following villages — each uniquely decorated and buzzing with holiday cheer:

  • Agros
    Known for its rose products, Agros glows with fairy lights and hosts workshops, sweet tastings, and musical performances.
  • Deryneia
    A village with deep traditions, offering local craft stalls, carol singing, and family activities near Famagusta.
  • Fikardou
    A preserved stone village that becomes a fairytale setting during Christmas, ideal for nature lovers and those seeking authenticity.
  • Kakopetria
    Surrounded by forested mountains, Kakopetria’s riverside paths and Christmas market offer a magical mountain escape.
  • Kalopanagiotis
    Nestled in the Marathasa Valley, this wellness and heritage village becomes even more picturesque in winter with festive lights and food events.
  • Kyperounta
    One of the highest villages in Cyprus, Kyperounta’s vineyards and snowy rooftops create a perfect setting for mulled wine and fireside stories.
  • Lefkara
    Famous for lace and silver, Lefkara offers not just crafts but a vibrant Christmas atmosphere with light displays and cultural performances.
  • Statos-Agios Fotios

The Christmas Villages operate every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday, and daily from December 22 to January 6, ensuring plenty of time for a cozy winter escape.
